Curiosities
Casteldelci, the southernmost municipality of Emilia Romagna, is also known as the “green sea” thanks to the lush vegetation of the surrounding mountains. During medieval times, its special location favoured the construction of many fortified settlements, of which vestiges remain to this day. Above the village towers Mount Fumaiolo, which the Tiber River springs from, and nearby stands Mount Zucca, which the Marecchia River springs from.
